Andy Can You Hear Us? — 2020

Published in 2020, Andy, Can You Hear Us? grew out of Madelyn Roehrig’s ongoing work at Andy Warhol’s grave, which began in 2009. The book brings together photographs, notes, stories and encounters with people who came to the gravesite and left something of themselves behind.

It captures an early chapter of what would become Andy’s Figments: The Andy Warhol Gravesite Living Archive.

The 2020 book will continue to be available when the new book is released in 2028. People will be able to purchase either book individually or both together—two chapters in the continuing story of Andy’s Figments.

Looking Forward: Andy at 100 - 2028

In 2028, Andy Warhol would have turned 100 years old.

To celebrate his centennial, something special is coming—a new Andy’s Figments book drawn from nearly two decades of The Andy Warhol Gravesite Living Archive.

Thousands of handwritten notes. Photographs. Objects. Stories. Performances. Chance encounters. And the voices of people who have continued to come to Andy’s grave, year after year.

It’s not just a story about Andy.

It’s a story about what happened after Andy—and about all the people who have kept the conversation going.

We’re all part of the story.

The archive is still growing.
The conversations continue.
